Additionally, eCommerce retailers such as Amazon, eBay, and Shopify are cross-border platforms for businesses.
How Does Cross-Border eCommerce Work?
Online stores will choose a customer base and in which countries to do business. The eCommerce store will have a localized home-base and ship their products internationally, or “across borders.”

Over one-fourth of all eCommerce in Europe is cross-border and Amazon still maintains the number one ranking for online retail.
